QR code meter reading is a form of manual meter reading for mechanical water meters. QR code information is affixed to each water meter body, which represents the identity information of the water meter and is entered into the meter reading system.

On the meter reading working day of each month, the meter reader scans the QR code on the water meter body and enters the water consumption data information of the meter. The database will record the water consumption data corresponding to the user information of the water meter, which reduces the work of recording water consumption data after reading the household number every month, and also avoids the occurrence of missed reading, estimated reading and wrong reading.
