Combined with our company's previous experience, in winter, citizens' awareness of "anti-freeze" is generally weak, and the ice and snow weather lasts for several days every year, causing the surface risers, water tanks and water meters to freeze and crack. Therefore, the customer service center once again notified citizens and contractors that it is best to use thermal insulation materials and use "warming" measures such as wrapping to prevent freezing of water supply pipes and water meters exposed outdoors. Emergency repair personnel will be on call 24 hours a day to try to solve the water supply problem as soon as possible.

Water meter anti-freeze method 1: For water meters that have not been used for a long time or are not used temporarily, close the valve in front of the water meter before the cold air arrives to prevent water from flowing into the water meter, and then open the faucet behind the water meter to drain the accumulated water in the meter. Even if there is a little remaining water, the water meter will not be frozen.

Water meter antifreeze method 2: Use insulation materials to thicken and wrap the water supply pipes and water meter facilities exposed outdoors; Use old cotton fabrics to plug the gaps in the ventilation area of the household meter box to prevent the water meter from freezing. If the water supply facilities cannot be used normally due to freezing, first wrap the faucet with a towel or other objects, and then pour hot water (about 30℃) along the faucet to thaw it. Do not use fire or boiling water to scald it.

Water meter antifreeze method 3: Open the faucet to drip at night to promote the flow of water in the pipe and prevent freezing.
